Standard Club International Pollution Seminar (Genoa & Athens)
George M. Chalos was key note speaker on U.S. civil and criminal pollution laws and regulations, including a Responsible Party's right to limit and/or exonerate itself from liability and recover response/removal costs from the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund, at the international oil pollution seminar hosted by the Standard P&I Club and P&I insurance brokers, P.L. Ferrari, in Genoa on May 16, 2007 and Athens on May 18,2007. The Panel of speakers included internationally recognized legal experts in the field, who submitted papers summarizing the applicable international law and conventions; their interplay with the national law and regulation in their respective jurisdictions, as well as delivered presentations on current cases and timely practical experiences in this dynamic and evolving area of law.
