Chalos & Co Featured in Seadebt International's Online Magazine

Chalos & Co. contributed a featured case study article to Seadebt International's first quarterly issue. The case study discussed a successful Rule C arrest and Rule B attachment of a vessel in order to satisfy the owners' outstanding debts. Additionally, the article, entitled "Ship Arrest in the USA," discusses how (despite the Second Circuit's decision in Jaldhi), traditional maritime attachment principals remain in tact and continue to provide a straight forward viable means of obtaining pre-judgment security for maritime claims. The article also discusses the procedures required for arresting (Rule C) or attaching (Rule B) a vessel in the United States.
